2.1 Static website

We use no externally loaded fonts, advertising services, social-media plug-ins or contact forms. We do not set our own cookies or browser-storage identifiers. Language selection uses separate pages without a stored user profile. IONOS WebAnalytics, enabled by default and operating without cookies, is described below.

2.2 Hosting & WebAnalytics

When you visit, IONOS processes the referrer, requested page or file, browser and version, operating system, device type, access time and anonymized IP address. Processing supports secure delivery, statistical evaluation and technical optimization. WebAnalytics uses a pixel or logs without cookies; IP addresses are anonymized immediately after transmission.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure, stable website and its technical optimization. IONOS acts as our processor.

2.3 App Store links

The App Store badge is loaded locally from this website. Opening its link takes you to Apple, which processes data on its service under its own responsibility. Apple’s privacy policy.

2.4 Email support

A mailto link opens your email app; no form data are transmitted through this website. If you write to us, we process your sender address, message and information you voluntarily provide to handle the request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual requests and Article 6(1)(f) for general inquiries. Messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the request, subject to statutory retention requirements.

3. Privacy in the app

3.1 Local storage

ReMemyu stores child profiles with names and optional birth dates, profile photos, text and dates, photos, scanned artwork, voice recordings, core moments, height measurements with dates and notes, and app, backup and reminder settings locally in protected app storage on your iPhone.

There is no ReMemyu account, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK, or our own server for these contents. We receive no copy of your memories during normal app use. Local processing provides the features you request; insofar as we act as controller for it, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

3.2 Family information

The app is intended for parents and responsible adults, not directly for children. Only enter others’ information when you are entitled to do so. Consider your child’s privacy and personal rights, especially before sharing.

3.3 Growth & local notifications

The growth chart only documents height measurements you enter. It is not a medical assessment. Optional per-child measuring reminders (every one, three or six calendar months) and other reminders are scheduled locally through iOS, without a ReMemyu push server. You can disable them in the app and iOS settings.

3.4 Retention & deletion

Contents remain until you delete them in the app, replace them during a restore, or remove the app together with its data. Offloading the app may retain its data. Associated local media are removed when an entry is deleted. External backups and shared copies require separate deletion. Operating-system backups or iCloud services you choose additionally depend on your iPhone settings and Apple’s terms.

4. Device permissions

Permissions are requested when you use the relevant feature and can be changed in your iPhone settings:

• Camera: memory and profile photos, and the artwork scanner.
• Photo library: add images you select.
• Add photos: save Polaroids you explicitly choose to keep in Photos.
• Microphone: create voice recordings.
• Notifications: local reminders you opt into.
• Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode: optional app protection through iOS; ReMemyu receives no biometric templates.

The artwork scanner detects page edges and corrects perspective on the device. Denying permission limits only the corresponding optional feature.

5. Backups, Polaroids & sharing

Only on your action does ReMemyu create a file or pass content to the iOS share sheet. You select the location and recipient. iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email and other services additionally follow their own terms. We receive no copy.

Complete version 1.1 backups also contain profile photos, measurements and measuring reminders. Shared individual memory collections exclude these additional data. Backup files are private files; store them securely and make regular backups outside the app.

Polaroids are rendered locally. Depending on the layout they contain a photo, logo, memory text, name and date. “Entire photo” shows the full image; “Fill photo area” may crop edges. The original remains unchanged. Only your explicit action adds the image to Photos or shares it. Exported Polaroids remain until you delete them separately.

6. Your rights

Where we process personal data, you have rights, subject to the legal conditions, to access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Consent can be withdrawn for the future. Contact the email address above to exercise those rights.

Local app content is not accessible to us. You therefore manage and delete it yourself in the app or through iOS. You may also complain to a data-protection authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. datenschutz.rlp.de.

7. Changes

We update this policy when features, providers or legal requirements change. The GDPR and applicable German data-protection laws govern our processing. The current policy is available on this page. Full GDPR text.
